Seminar: Continuous Insulation Finish Systems (CIFS)

Whether you’re in southern California or up the coast to Washington state, stucco has and continues to be one of the most preferred exterior claddings. But, regional differences can be a determining factor in how best to detail your stucco assembly. This seminar, presented by Terry Kastner, Executive Director of the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau will speak to the advantages of stucco claddings and demonstrate how Continuous Insulation (CI) has affected the traditional 3-Coat Stucco assembly. 
 
This presentation will cover:
  • Detailing for traditional 3-coat as well as CI stucco assemblies. 
  • Water-management detailing and what is appropriate for your specific region.  
  • The importance of air & moisture barriers and how to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Alternatives to traditional 3-coat CI stucco assemblies. 

About our speaker:
​Terry Kastner is the Executive Director of the NWCB. He has over thirty years of experience in the Wall and Ceiling Industry, with thirteen years as a Union Carpenter installer, twelve years as a Project Manager and Estimator, and ten years as a Technical Consultant for the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau.
