The Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau is thrilled to announce exciting enhancements to its Outstanding Project of the Year Awards Program. Beginning in 2024, the project awards will be presented locally at exclusive events in Washington and Oregon, embedded within a special industry celebration designed to showcase this year's exemplary construction projects and honor members who have made a profound impact on both the NWCB and the industry.
In a departure from the previous practice of award presentations at the annual conference, this new, innovative format provides us with the opportunity to recognize the winners and present the awards with the time and attention they truly deserve. The strategic choice of local venues brings the celebrations closer to home, which allows more participation by the construction team in the award ceremonies and allows us to invite project partners, including architects and general contractors.
While we acknowledge the challenge that change often presents, especially when it involves time-honored traditions, we are enthusiastic about this new approach to celebrating our industry. Our goal is to cast a brighter spotlight on the achievements of our members and celebrate them in a manner befitting their accomplishments - through a dedicated, special event.
The judging process for the 2024 award nominations has been successfully concluded, and the winners have been notified. Planning is already underway for two unforgettable celebrations – one in Washington and the other in Oregon. These events will feature a delightful reception and dinner and an inspiring speaker sharing insights with the audience. The event will culminate in the highlight of the evening - the presentation of both project and individual awards.
