Seminar: Virtual and Augmented Reality in Construction

Do you struggle with reality? We have opportunity for you to be introduced to reality in the construction industry and to learn how our millennials are changing it. Reality used to be reality, but now we have virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality. These forms of reality may have had their beginning in the gaming industry, but they are now making a significant contribution to the construction industry. This isn’t just cutting-edge technology or the future of the construction industry – it is here now. If you thought the introduction of BIM to the construction industry was incredible, you will be absolutely amazed by what our presenter has to show you about how “realities” are – and will be – changing how we approach construction in the wall and ceiling industry.
About our speaker:
Cody Nowak has worked the AEC spectrum from architects to MEP engineers to general contractors and various sub-contractors. As a technology evangelist, he has been bridging the gap between technology, BIM, and AEC with the purpose of integrating virtual reality and augmented reality into a prominent role. He is working on progressing the AEC industry towards the integration of real-time 3D engines to be used for powering real-time collaboration and, ultimately, the use of real-time BIM in the field via emerging hardware technologies. His innovative efforts were recognized by ENR Magazine, which honored him as an “ENR Top 25 Newsmaker” for 2016 and at Bluebeam eXtreme 2016 with “The Trailblazer” award.
This program will be presented at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 4.
